Highlight Media was formed in 2008 by Christina Bearce and Jason Reed. Christina and Jason have over 15 years of collective experience in marketing and video production.
Highlight Media was founded on the principle that quality, affordable video production services need not be cost prohibitive for small businesses and nonprofits. Recognizing the importance of social networking and "Web 2.0" incorporation of video content, Highlight Media seeks to empower businesses and charitable organizations to reach their customers in a more effective and efficient fashion.
Christina is an award-winning video editor who previously worked on "So Love Returns by filmmaker David Baumgarden. Christina also volunteers her time for a number of charitable causes. She is currently the Executive Director of the San luis Obispo Sharing the Dream", a non-profit organization seeking to promote the mission of Dr. Martin Luther King.
Jason is active in the nonprofit sector, having worked as a counselor, volunteer recruiter, grant writer and nonprofit administrator. He has a master's degree from Cal Poly State University and a certificate in Sales & Marketing from Allan Hancock College. Since 2005 he has been the host and producer of "The Nonprofit Show" on Channel 2 in San Luis Obispo County. He has been published in the peer-reviewed "Grant Professional Association Journal and was awarded a "Top 20 Under 40" community recognition awardy in 2008. He also volunteers his time on the San Luis Obispo County Drug & Alchol Advisory Board (where he has acted as Chairperson since 2009) as well as on the San Luis Obispo Child Abuse Prevention Council Board of Directors.
